PATIENT SERVICES ADVISOR (Medical Receptionist)

This is a 20-hour per week post, based at Tranent Medical Practice.

About Us

We are a large and progressive Medical Practice based in Tranent, an expanding East Lothian town, just 12 miles from central Edinburgh. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and supportive Practice Team. You will join the practice team consisting of Patient Care Advisors, Clinical PAs, Medical Secretary, Clinical Coders, Reception Manager, GPs, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. Practice opening hours are 8.00am-6.00pm Monday-Friday.

About The Role

Our Patient Services Advisors (Medical Receptionists) play a key role in the practice. The successful candidate will be required to perform a range of duties that include patient navigation, administrative and reception duties that support the GP's to provide excellent health care to our patients with good communication skills, excellent telephone manner and a positive approach to dealing with patients when under pressure.

Applicants should have excellent communication and organisational skills with a courteous and friendly approach.

Previous experience of working within a practice setting would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
