AB-Zero is now entering an exciting stage of growth. As part of that expansion, the business wants to increase the number of commercial customers it works with, develop more long-term maintenance relationships and create a consistent pipeline of new opportunities.

We are therefore looking for an experienced and highly effective Telemarketer to become part of our growing team and directly support AB-Zero s ambitious growth targets .

The Role

Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified new business opportunities for AB-Zero.

You will proactively contact businesses and relevant decision-makers who may require commercial air conditioning, HVAC installation, servicing, repairs or ongoing planned maintenance .

Prospects could include businesses with existing air conditioning systems requiring maintenance, companies considering replacing or upgrading older systems, organisations moving into or refurbishing premises, and businesses requiring new commercial HVAC installations.

You may be speaking with business owners, facilities managers, property managers, contractors and other decision-makers responsible for their organisation s premises or HVAC requirements.

You will make outbound calls to both cold and warm prospects, as well as following up on marketing activity, emails and other lead-generation campaigns.

This is not a high-pressure telesales role .

The objective is to start intelligent conversations, understand the prospect s current situation and identify whether there is a genuine opportunity for AB-Zero to help.

That means being able to listen, ask great questions and uncover issues such as:

• Existing air conditioning or HVAC systems requiring servicing or maintenance
• Businesses without a current maintenance agreement
• Ageing or inefficient equipment that may need replacing
• Planned office, retail or commercial refurbishments
• New premises requiring HVAC installation
• Problems with existing heating, cooling or ventilation
• Opportunities for ongoing planned maintenance contracts

Where a genuine opportunity exists, your job is to qualify it and arrange the appropriate next step for the AB-Zero team.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective commercial customers.
• Identify and speak with relevant business decision-makers.
• Generate opportunities for AB-Zero s installation, service and maintenance teams.
• Follow up prospects generated through marketing and other business development activity.
• Build rapport quickly with people who may have had no previous contact with AB-Zero.
• Ask effective questions to understand the prospect s existing HVAC arrangements and future requirements.
• Identify and qualify genuine sales opportunities.
• Arrange appropriate follow-up conversations, surveys or quotations for the AB-Zero team.
• Maintain accurate records of conversations, opportunities and agreed follow-ups.
• Consistently achieve agreed calling and lead-generation targets.
• Target: generate at least one qualified lead per working day.
• Contribute to the wider team s efforts to achieve AB-Zero s ambitious growth targets .

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

• Exceptional telephone and communication skills.
• Significant experience and a proven track record of successful B2B cold calling.
• The confidence to speak directly with business owners, facilities managers and senior decision-makers.
• The ability to build rapport quickly with people they have never spoken to before.
• The ability to turn an initially cold conversation into a meaningful business discussion.
• A consultative approach to selling - achieving results through listening and asking great questions rather than applying sales pressure.
• The persistence to follow up opportunities professionally without becoming pushy.
• Excellent organisational and follow-up skills.
• A strong commercial mindset and an understanding of what constitutes a genuinely qualified opportunity.
• A proactive, self-motivated and results-focused attitude.
• The ability to work independently from home and manage their own time effectively.
• A strong can-do attitude, with plenty of initiative and resourcefulness.
• The enthusiasm to become part of a growing team with ambitious plans for the business .

Previous experience of HVAC, facilities management, construction, property services, mechanical and electrical services or another B2B service environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Compensation

• £15 per hour
• Plus £200 for every new client signed over a certain value as a result of your activity

Location & Hours

Location: Home-based

Hours: Flexible. You can choose the hours you work, subject to agreeing appropriate calling times and achieving the required results.

This role would particularly suit an experienced B2B telemarketer, appointment setter or business development professional looking for a flexible position where performance is recognised and rewarded.

You will be joining AB-Zero at an exciting stage in its development and will have the opportunity to play a direct role in helping the company build its customer base, increase recurring maintenance business and achieve its ambitious growth plans.
