Production Operative (Dress Operative)

Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2BH.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.

Summary

We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Dress Operative) to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Operative will work alongside the Primary Supervisor and the wider Katmex team working together to support daily production operations. Job role

• Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules.
• Using hand tools such as grinders and burning equipment to weld dress heavy duty steel parts.
• Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
• Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings.
• Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks.
• Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
• Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager. However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill-set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capablities.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous experience weld dressing would be beneficial but not essential.
• Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.
• Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
• You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.
