Are you a caring, patient and proactive individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?
TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in the Braintree area that supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Support Worker / Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEND, care, support work, healthcare, youth work or education, as well as individuals looking to transfer their skills into a school environment.
As a SEND Support Worker / Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning and make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
You do not necessarily need previous school experience. Candidates from backgrounds such as care work, support work, healthcare, residential care, youth work, nursery work or SEN support are strongly encouraged to apply.
The school is particularly interested in people who are willing to get stuck in from day one, actively engage with pupils and offer support rather than waiting to be directed.
If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference to pupils with SEND, we would love to hear from you.
TeacherActive is an equal opportunities employer and operates as an Employment Business and Employment Agency in providing temporary, contract and permanent job seeking services.
TeacherActive is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
