Hours: 4 or 5 days per week

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small SENSchool on a long-term basis, working with pupils with autism and additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND , helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally within a specialist school environment. I have visited this school and it is a fantastic provision with amazing staff and facilities.

The role:

• Supporting pupils with autism
• Providingin class support to a range of ages
• Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
• Supporting communication, independence and positive behaviour
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Creating a calm, supportive and nurturing environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND/autism but training will be provided
• Is patient and caring
• Can build positive relationships with pupils
• Is confident working as part of a team
• Is committed to making a genuine difference to pupils' lives
