Working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties requires patience, consistency and a genuinely person-centred approach.

Protocol Education is recruiting a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth , supporting pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, sensory and communication needs.

Your Day Could Include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support
• Supporting pupils during lessons
• Encouraging communication and interaction
• Supporting sensory exploration
• Helping pupils develop independence
• Supporting mobility and physical activities
• Providing personal care where required
• Using individual communication strategies
• Supporting emotional wellbeing
• Working with teachers and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
