An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in West Didsbury, through Tradewind Recruitment.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the possibility of continuing for the full academic year for the right candidate.

The school is a well-established, diverse primary at the heart of the local community. It has high expectations for pupils , with a strong focus on reading, vocabulary, English and maths, while developing confident, independent learners who are ready for their next stage of education. The school also places a strong emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing and helping pupils become responsible members of their community.

The Role

You will take responsibility for a Year 6 class , delivering engaging and purposeful lessons across the KS2 curriculum. You will play an important role in preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school , while ensuring they remain motivated and enjoy their final year of primary education.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Year 6 lessons
• Preparing pupils for SATs and secondary transition
• Using assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching
• Providing appropriate support and challenge
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and presentation
• Developing pupils' independence, confidence and resilience
• Working closely with colleagues and families to support pupils

You will need:

• QTS
• Recent primary teaching experience
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Strong classroom management
• Excellent organisational skills
