Primary schools across Midsomer Norton and Paulton are looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic individuals to join their teams and support pupils who need a little extra encouragement to succeed.
This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll be helping children build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they feel safe, understood and ready to thrive.
These welcoming schools combine high expectations with a nurturing approach, creating environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential. Whether you're exploring a future in teaching, psychology, youth work or education, this role offers invaluable experience and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Bonus question: Are you Thrive trained? If not, don't worry. Thrive training is highly valued by schools, particularly when supporting pupils with SEMH needs, and we can help point you in the right direction to develop these sought-after skills.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
