Permanent, Full Time

Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator looking for secure, long-term work with a well-established company?

Pittaway Group is a fourth-generation, family-owned painting and decorating business with over 100 years of history. Based in Hull, we have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality work across a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial projects.

Due to continued work and growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our established team.

The role

This is a varied position where no two projects are necessarily the same. You will work across Hull and the surrounding areas on a range of high-quality painting and decorating projects, including domestic, commercial and industrial work.

• Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating
• Carrying out high-quality internal and external painting
• Applying a range of finishes to the required standard
• Working across domestic, commercial and industrial environments
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
• Working effectively as part of an experienced team
• Travelling to sites when required

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their trade and wants to become part of a long-established business.

You will need:

• Previous professional painting and decorating experience
• A valid CSCS Card
• A full UK driving licence
• A good standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
• A professional approach when working on customers' premises
• Flexibility to occasionally travel and work away from home
• A genuine interest in painting and decorating and producing quality work

Above all, we need someone dependable who will turn up when expected, work hard and take pride in doing the job properly.

What we offer

• £16.40 per hour
• Guaranteed 39 hours per week
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Double time for weekend working
• Accommodation provided when working away
• Varied projects across domestic, commercial and industrial settings
• The stability of joining a long-established family business
• Regular work with an experienced and professional team
