Exam Invigilator

Exam Invigilator - Sunderland Secondary Schools
Competitive Daily Rates, Flexible, ASAP Start

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Exam Invigilators for secondary schools across Sunderland, with work available immediately. It's a flexible, straightforward role that suits people who are reliable, discreet, and comfortable maintaining a calm and controlled environment — and one that fits well around other commitments given the nature of exam timetables.

Demand for invigilators across Sunderland schools is consistent throughout the academic year, with peak periods around GCSE and A-Level examinations. Whether you're looking for occasional work to fit around other commitments or a more regular arrangement across multiple schools, Teaching Personnel can accommodate both.

What the role involves:

• Setting up examination rooms in line with school and awarding body requirements
• Distributing and collecting examination materials accurately
• Maintaining a silent, controlled environment throughout each examination
• Supporting students with access arrangements where required
• Following school procedures and reporting any irregularities promptly
• Upholding confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities at all times

What we're looking for:

• A calm, professional, and attentive approach
• Reliability and punctuality — essential for this role
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality
• Previous invigilation experience is desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

What Teaching Personnel offers:

• Competitive daily rates
• Weekly pay via PAYE
• Flexible working to fit around your availability
• Dedicated consultant support
• A straightforward route into wider school support roles
