Job Title: Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Location: Caerphilly, South Wales

Salary: £92.59 per day minimum

Employment Type: Full-time - Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We are seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to support young learners across various schools in Caerphilly. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment, supporting pupils' development and fostering inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning across KS3.
Providing support for pupils, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and pupil assessments.
Working collaboratively with teachers, pupils, and the wider school community.

Requirements & Qualifications

Fluent Welsh (spoken and written).
3 months experience working with children or young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility, proactivity, and willingness to travel across multiple school sites.

Mandatory Compliance

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
