Protocol Education is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a welcoming and inclusive school in Basildon.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to a pupil with ASD throughout the school day.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student.
• Support communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) , particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) .
• Is patient, caring, and empathetic.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is proactive, adaptable, and positive in their approach.
• Is committed to making a real difference in a child's educational journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
