Commercial Coordinator

Do you have strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and experience working with suppliers, subcontractors or within the construction industry?

We're recruiting a Commercial Coordinator to join a busy Commercial team within a housebuilding environment.

You'll provide responsive and professional administrative support across the Commercial function, taking ownership of key tasks, coordinating information between internal and external stakeholders and ensuring commercial processes, reporting and deadlines are managed accurately.

What You'll Be Doing

• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure information is received accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Act as a key point of contact between the Commercial team and external parties, resolving issues and escalating where required
• Coordinate project timelines, checking the quality, accuracy and distribution of information
• Support key commercial reporting and processes, including cashflow, RAMS trackers, performance reviews and stock on site
• Maintain contractor and supplier databases and support tender analysis and pre-tender meeting preparation
• Monitor cost report actions, sales extras and KPI reporting
• Support CIS and VAT compliance activities
• Complete site-specific commercial administration, including payments, site progress reports and procurement orders
• Deal with subcontract account queries and manage the regional Commercial inbox
• Upload and maintain information on COINS and other relevant systems
• Audit information before distribution, ensuring it is accurate, appropriate and sent to the correct recipients
• Work with regional project teams to provide effective Commercial support
• Challenge and clarify information where required to ensure commercial processes and policies are followed
• Provide ongoing support to suppliers and subcontractors as a key point of contact
• Support the wider Commercial team with additional tasks and priorities as required

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within an administrative, coordination or commercial support role
• Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
• Comfortable working at pace within a busy environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Proactive approach with the confidence to use your own initiative
• Full clean UK driving licence - essential
• Desirable: Knowledge of the housebuilding or construction industry
• Desirable: Experience using COINS or other accounting/commercial software
• Desirable: Previous experience within a Commercial department or working with subcontractor accounts

The Details

• Location: Tyne & Wear
• Salary: up to £32,000 DOE
