We are currently looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join a welcoming school in BL1, Bolton, supporting pupils within a Year 3/4 SEND provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who has experience supporting children with additional needs and is confident creating an inclusive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
The Role
Teach and support pupils within a Year 3/4 SEND setting.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
Adapt the curriculum to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
Implement appropriate behaviour and learning strategies.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP targets where required.
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Work closely with parents, carers and external professionals where appropriate.
Follow school safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
About You
Has QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
Has experience working with children with SEND.
Has experience teaching within a primary setting, ideally KS2.
Is confident adapting lessons and differentiating learning.
Has strong behaviour management skills.
Is patient, caring and consistent in their approach.
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Is reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding.
Can start ASAP.
