OmniaMed is a medical communications organisation delivering a wide range of projects for pharmaceutical company sponsors and healthcare professional audiences. Our medical communications division creates and delivers educational projects across print, in-person and digital channels in collaboration with clients from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, working closely with clients and healthcare professionals to develop high-quality, engaging and appropriate content.
We are looking for an experienced Medical Editor to join the medical communications team.
This is a varied editorial role combining copyediting, proofreading, content development and quality assurance with project and production support.
You will review a wide range of materials to ensure they are coherent, accurate, consistent and appropriate for their intended audience, while ensuring they meet project briefs and OmniaMed's quality standards. You will work closely with colleagues across the scientific services, client services, digital, creative and business development teams, as well as with healthcare professional contributors and pharmaceutical company sponsors.
The role will also involve supporting the production of materials across different formats, including PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, videos and digital content. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of relevant healthcare and therapy areas and become a key source of knowledge on the ABPI Code of Practice within the team.
Please note: This is a medical communications role, not a journal publishing position. The role does not involve editing academic manuscripts or working as a journal editor.
Experience of ABPI compliance, working with healthcare professional audiences, or working in a medical communications agency would be strongly advantageous.
The role is permanent and is based within OmniaMed's Central London office. The role is hybrid; a minimum of 2 days per week in the office are required. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.30pm.
