The Best Connection are currently recruiting Parcel Sorters to join the busy operation at our Preston client. This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are comfortable with heavy manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
Sorting parcels quickly and accurately within the warehouse
Loading and unloading parcels from trailers and containers
Pulling and manoeuvring parcel cages around the warehouse
Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
Scanning and processing parcels using handheld devices
Ensuring parcels are routed to the correct destinations
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
Ability to undertake heavy manual labour for the duration of the shift
Comfortable pulling loaded cages and moving parcels safely
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Good attention to detail
Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is advantageous but not essential
