Prospero Teaching are recruiting a confident GCSE English Tutor to provide focused 1:1 support to a learner in St Helens.

The successful tutor will help develop subject knowledge, strengthen exam skills and encourage a positive attitude towards English.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised GCSE English tuition
• Support reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Assist with exam preparation and revision
• Identify areas requiring additional support
• Adapt resources to the learner's level
• Build confidence and encourage participation
• Track progress throughout the placement

Requirements

• Strong GCSE English subject knowledge
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience working with secondary-aged learners
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt sessions to individual needs
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
