Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives. Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland. We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
As a Support Worker within Vocational Services, you'll provide person-centred employment support to individuals who face barriers to finding and sustaining work.
You’ll work closely with people to identify their strengths, skills and aspirations, helping them take positive steps towards employment, education and training opportunities that align with their goals.
This is a local office and community-based role, supporting people across the Liverpool City Region. As travel between appointments, employers and community partners is required, you'll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
You don't need previous experience in supported employment to be successful in this role. What matters most is your passion for helping people achieve their goals and your ability to build positive relationships.
This role could be an excellent next step for experienced Support Workers looking to develop specialist skills in employment support and vocational services. We also welcome applications from people with experience in community support, employability, coaching, mentoring or related roles.
At Community Integrated Care, our values are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for people who:
Include - You recognise and value each person's unique strengths, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, involved and respected.
Deliver - You are committed to providing high-quality support and achieving positive outcomes for the people you work with.
Aspire - You believe in people's potential and encourage them to achieve goals they may never have thought possible.
Respect - You treat everyone with dignity, compassion and understanding, building relationships based on trust.
Enable - You empower people to make their own choices, develop their skills and increase their independence.
If you're passionate about supporting people to build confidence, achieve employment goals and live their best lives, we'd love to hear from you.
We have a really clear plan to achieve this called A Place I Belong. This publicly sets out the promises we’ve made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. You can read more about this by clicking here.
We wish you the very best of luck in your application to joining our charity.
