Location: Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, site based, WC2E, London

Lenny’s is a new pizzeria on Henrietta Street in Covent Garden, from Max Lewis and MJMK Restaurants. The result of Max’s extensive travels to New Haven, Connecticut, it is built around pizzas that are crispy, chewy and charred, a revival of his much-loved pop-up now finding a permanent home in the heart of Covent Garden. We’re building the opening team now.

We're looking for a Commis Chef to join the opening kitchen team at Lenny's, learning the ropes of a busy, quality-led kitchen from the ground up. You'll support the section chefs in keeping every pizza and dish consistent, service after service.

This role suits someone early in their career who's keen to learn, takes instruction well, and wants to build a career in professional kitchens. You'll work closely with the Junior Sous Chef and Sous Chef, picking up skills and setting the standard for the future.

This is a hands-on, section-focused role, full of energy from the moment the doors open.

Key Responsibilities

• Support section chefs with prep, cooking and plating throughout service.
• Learn and follow Lenny's recipes and specs so every dish is consistent.
• Keep your section clean, organised and stocked throughout the shift.
• Support with deliveries, stock rotation and storage.
• Follow food safety and allergen procedures on every shift.
• Support with cleaning down and closing checks at the end of service.

About MJMK Restaurants

MJMK Restaurants owns and operates a collection of award-winning restaurants. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, our journey began with Casa do Frango.

In 2020, we partnered with chef patron Santiago Lastra to open KOL, a restaurant in Marylebone celebrating Mexican cuisine with British ingredients. KOL has since earned a Michelin star and been named one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants.

2024 saw two new ventures: Fonda, a contemporary Mexican concept in Mayfair, our second collaboration with Santiago Lastra, and AngloThai in Marylebone, a debut restaurant from husband-and-wife John and Desiree Chantarasak, blending Thai flavours with British ingredients.
