We're looking for a reliable Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our Client's night operation delivering palletised freight on multi-drop routes. You'll load, deliver and return safely and on time, representing the company professionally at every drop.
Key Responsibilities
Safely deliver palletised goods to multiple customer sites on scheduled night routes
Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks and report any defects promptlyLoad and secure freight correctly, checking pallets against delivery paperwork
Obtain accurate proof of delivery (POD) and report any damages, shortages or delivery issues
Complete all paperwork accurately
Comply with drivers' hours regulations, tachograph rules and the Working Time Directive
Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence
Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
Valid Driver CPC card
Valid digital tachograph card
Previous multi-drop or palletised delivery experience is preferred
Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
Ability to manage your time and work independently on night shifts
Professional attitude and good communication skills
