Childcare Assistant G3 - Burton Bradstock Primary School

Burton Bradstock Primary School is seeking to recruit a Childcare Assistant (Extended Day) 4 hours per week.

Role Details

• Contract: Permanent
• Salary: Grade 3 (SCP 3-4), Actual Annual Salary £2,321-£2,357
• Working Hours: Term time only, Tuesday & Thursday, 3:20 pm - 5:20 pm (may be subject to change according to business need) 38 working weeks per year.

Main Purpose & Key Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for children
• Take the register of children attending after school club
• Administer First Aid as appropriate
• Promote and reinforce children’s self-esteem
• Assist in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children in accordance with the Trust’s safeguarding and child protection policy
• Assist in organising resources for each session
• Assist in ensuring the club is a safe environment for children; that equipment is safe and health and hygiene requirements are met
• If food or snacks are being served as part of the club, to assist in:
• Providing children with a balanced diet; planning menus and timely placing of food orders
• Ensuring that health and hygiene requirements are met, including carry out washing-up, cleaning of catering equipment and kitchen area
• Assist in carrying out day to day administration, record keeping and communication
• Attend staff meetings and training opportunities where appropriate
• Assist in ensuring all legal and statutory requirements are implemented; assist in providing reports as required
