You’ll spend both years working within the same school, building strong relationships with pupils and staff while gaining a genuine understanding of school life.

• Develop effective classroom management skills
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Work alongside experienced teachers and school staff
• Gain experience across different year groups and abilities
• Develop your confidence in managing a classroom
• Gain a realistic insight into the responsibilities of a teacher

Year 2 - Trainee Teacher

Following your first year, you’ll progress into formal teacher training, completing your PGCE and working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You’ll take on increasing responsibility for planning and delivering lessons while continuing to receive mentoring and support.

You will develop your skills in:

• Lesson planning and delivery
• Assessment and pupil progress
• Classroom and behaviour management
• Differentiation and inclusive teaching
