SEND Tutor - Wigan

Location: Wigan
Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching are seeking a committed and empathetic SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Wigan.

This role would suit an educator who can create a calm and supportive learning environment, adapt sessions to individual needs and help the learner develop both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition
• Plan sessions around the learner's individual needs
• Adapt teaching methods and resources
• Encourage positive engagement with education
• Build confidence, independence and learning routines
• Monitor progress and provide feedback

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people
• Previous experience supporting learners with SEND
• Patient, flexible and encouraging approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
