Maintenance Apprentice

The Maintenance Apprentice will be trained to support the safe and reliable operation of manufacturing plant and equipment at Copely Developments. Working towards the Engineering Maintenance Technician - Dual Discipline Level 3 apprenticeship, the apprentice will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across electrical, mechanical and control systems, contributing to business performance, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

• GCSEs (or predicted) in English and Mathematics, or commitment to achieving them during the apprenticeship (in line with apprenticeship funding rules)
• Genuine interest in engineering, maintenance and manufacturing environments
• Willingness to learn electrical, mechanical and control engineering principles
• Commitment to working safely and following procedures
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with others
• Reliable, punctual and motivated to complete a 48-month apprenticeship programme

• Willingness to take feedback and learn from experienced engineers
• Organised approach to work and record-keeping
• Interest in developing a long-term engineering career within manufacturing

Employment Type: Full Time

Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 - 16:00 Friday - 30 minutes lunch break.
