As a Cook at St Johns Nursing Home , you'll use your skills to create nourishing, enjoyable meals that residents look forward to every day. Clarendon Care Services Ltd is a forward-thinking and growing organisation with established residential and nursing homes across the Midlands. We're looking for a caring and organised Cook who takes pride in good food and wants to make a positive difference as part of our friendly team.

Your role

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Contracted hours: To be confirmed

Location: St Johns Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 8QT

Working with the kitchen and care teams, you'll prepare and cook appealing meals that meet residents' individual needs and preferences. You will:

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of nutritious meals, snacks and refreshments.
• Follow residents' dietary plans, including allergies, special diets and texture requirements, with guidance from the care team.
• Listen to residents' preferences and help make mealtimes enjoyable.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and safe food storage.
• Help manage stock, rotate supplies and minimise food waste.
• Keep required kitchen records and work with colleagues to deliver a smooth meal service.

What You'll Bring

You'll bring practical cooking experience, an understanding of food safety and a genuine interest in supporting older people's wellbeing. Experience in a care setting is welcome.

• Confidence preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safe food handling.
• A thoughtful approach to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Good organisation and the ability to work calmly during busy services.
• Clear communication, teamwork and a caring, respectful manner.
