1:1 Secondary Tutor - Halton

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support a learner in Halton through flexible, personalised tuition.

We are looking for an educator who can work independently, establish a strong rapport with the learner and tailor sessions to their academic needs, abilities and interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured 1:1 secondary tuition
• Plan lessons around individual learning targets
• Support progress across core subjects
• Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials
• Encourage positive engagement with education
• Develop confidence and independent learning skills
• Monitor and communicate learner progress

Requirements

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
• Strong subject knowledge
• Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Flexible, patient and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional child-related references
