Are you an enthusiastic primary teacher looking for a new opportunity? A welcoming and supportive school in Newbury is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join its team on a temporary basis.

This role is perfect for a Year 1 Teacher who enjoys inspiring younger learners and wants to create a classroom environment where children feel confident, supported and excited to learn.

The Role

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
• Establish a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and a love of learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to achieve positive outcomes.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A creative, enthusiastic and adaptable teaching style.
• High expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement.
• A genuine passion for helping young children thrive.
