Accounts Assistant – Preston – to £30,000

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a well-established business within the design sector, based in Preston. A salary of up to £30,000 is on offer alongside a genuinely attractive benefits package. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with existing finance or accounts support experience to join a friendly, collaborative team where accuracy and initiative are properly valued. You will play a key part in keeping day-to-day financial operations running smoothly, from processing transactions through to supporting management reporting. The role is office based and would suit a proactive individual keen to develop their finance career further.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders and employee expense claims accurately and on time
• Reconciling bank statements and keeping financial records up to date
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and summaries for management
• Maintaining well-organised filing of invoices, receipts and finance documentation
• Handling routine queries from internal teams and suppliers, and supporting audit preparation

What Experience is Required

• Previous experience within a finance or accounts support position
• Working knowledge of Sage, plus strong Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a careful eye for detail

Salary & Benefits

A salary of up to £30,000 is available depending on experience, plus company pension, additional leave, discounted or free food, casual dress, regular company events and a health and wellbeing programme.

Location

Preston. The role is an easy commute from Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Blackburn, Blackpool, Ormskirk and Lancaster.
