Salary: £12.71ph - £13.30ph Salary will depend on qualifications and experience

HI, we’re Rachel and Lisa, Nursery Managers at St Peter and St Paul.

With over 40 years of combined experience in early years education, we both began our journeys as newly qualified practitioners straight out of college. Since then, we’ve grown into our leadership roles— Rachel proudly managing the Over 2’s for the past three years and Lisa leading the Under 2’s .

Together, we feel incredibly privileged to support not only our children but also our dedicated team, helping everyone to grow and thrive each day.

Our nursery offers a rich blend of indoor and outdoor learning experiences. Children enjoy dedicated time in our woodland spaces, where they connect with nature through a variety of hands‑on activities. Indoors, creativity and imagination are ignited in unique areas such as our ballpit ship, hot air balloon, and beach‑themed zones—all designed to spark joy, exploration, and a lifelong love of learning.

How you’ll spend your time here

You’ll be helping to providecover for the children asand when needed. This could befor periods of holiday, sickness, or evenvacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support forafull day, or it may just be amorning or afternoon session. You'll likely start most of yourdays with afully formulated plan.... That will soonget completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key.Teaching young children allows forhands onarts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within theEYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

Ideally hold a Level 2 or abovequalified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for anEarly Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouragingthenaturalcuriosity and excitement of young children and werebornto teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural,nurturing, openness, awarm and positive outlook, and youcare about learning andeducation standards in the UK.

What you'll need

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment. If you think you've got the right attitude and abilities, submit an application, who knows it might be the best thing you ever did. Nothing ventured nothing gained!)
• Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
