Behaviour Learning Support Assistant

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting secondary-aged pupils?

Do you have experience working with young people with EBD and challenging behaviour?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Cardiff that supports secondary-aged pupils who require additional support outside of a mainstream school environment. The provision is committed to providing pupils with a supportive and structured environment where they can engage positively with their education.

The Pupil Referral Unit is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, temporary basis until Christmas. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with EBD and challenging behaviour, helping them to engage with learning, manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships within the setting.

Successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Experience supporting young people with EBD and challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient and resilient approach
• Excellent communication skills
• A positive and adaptable attitude
