FULL TIME ROLE: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm. )

We are in urgent need of a FULL TIME TEACHING ASSISTANTS to join a SEN school in PLYMOUTH.

This role is full time and it is ESSENTIAL to have a UK driving license and own car. WE DO HAVE OTHER ROLES WHICH DO NOT REQUIRE A DRIVING LICENSE

Due to the nature of these children at the school it is ideal for applicants to have previous experience in UK SEN schools/ alternative provisions/ transferable skills working with behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
• Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behavior challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions
• Applicants holding a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
• Demonstrated Patience and Empathy along with flexibility and adaptability
• Dedication to the Success of Students
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education

Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection or willingness to take a course on safeguarding that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
