Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Full-Time Year 3 Immediate Start Initially Until October Half Term

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class at a welcoming primary school in the Rushcliffe Borough of Nottingham .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, graduate, or someone with relevant experience working with children to join a supportive school environment and make a real difference to pupils' learning and development.

The role is available to start as soon as possible and will initially run until the October half term , with the potential for the position to continue depending on the needs of the school.

The Role

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout their learning and help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Year 3 class teacher with teaching and learning activities.
• Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Supporting children who may require additional help with their learning.
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Supporting children with additional needs where required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and general day-to-day activities.

We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or education setting.
• Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 would be advantageous.
• A positive, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience working with children.
