An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced English Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Sefton.

The role would suit a confident educator who enjoys working closely with individual learners and can tailor lessons to develop their literacy, comprehension and written communication skills.

About the Role

• Provide structured 1:1 English tuition
• Plan sessions according to learner ability
• Develop reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Identify areas requiring additional support
• Use engaging and accessible teaching resources
• Build confidence and encourage participation
• Monitor learning and communicate progress

We're Looking For

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring English
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum
• Experience working with children or young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
• QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional references involving work with children
