Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain specialist experience supporting young children with complex physical and medical needs?
Would you like to build valuable school-based SEND experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology or another child-focused career?
This primary school in Balsall Heath is looking for a nurturing and experienced graduate SEN EYFS Teaching Assistant to support two children with significant physical and medical needs. You will provide individualised support throughout the school day, helping the pupils access learning and participate fully in school life. Responsibilities will include supporting mobility, communication, personal care and toileting, alongside delivering physical programmes under professional guidance. You will also monitor fatigue, adapt activities where required and encourage the children to develop their confidence and independence.
This role is particularly well suited to a Psychology graduate who is interested in SEND, child development, Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology. You will be calm, patient and dependable, with previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
