SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Nailsea + Surrounding area
Salary: £93 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP
Connex Education is working in partnership with the BWMAT schools to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants for fixed-term vacancies, commencing in September 2026.
The school is committed to creating a nurturing learning environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing and high-quality education, the school provides excellent support for both pupils and staff, making it an ideal setting for those passionate about SEND education.
Connex Education is seeking three enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join the school’s dedicated support team on a full-time basis. This will be a temp to perm role, consisting of 12 weeks on a temporay basis to then go permanent in December.
Working 6 hours per day, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs across the school. No two days will be the same, as you will work across different classes, providing one-to-one support, leading small-group interventions and assisting teachers with inclusive classroom learning.
This role would suit experienced SEND Teaching Assistants or individuals with relevant transferable experience in education, care or youth work. While previous SEND experience is preferred, it is not essential for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, patience and commitment.
Connex Education Partnership is committed to equal opportunities and values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, culture, marital status or disability. All candidates are assessed solely on merit. Connex Education Partnership operates as both an employment agency and employment business.
Connex Education Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and candidates to share this commitment. We adhere to Safer Recruitment practices in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, and other relevant legislation. All appointments are subject to rigorous pre-employment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
