A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Amersham is seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team after the October…
Do you want hands‑on experience supporting KS2 pupils with Autism before progressing into teacher training or educational psychology?
Could you deliver calm, consistent 1:1 and small‑group support that helps pupils access learning and build independence?
You’ll work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to provide structured support for KS2 pupils with Autism. Day to day, you will implement visual timetables, break tasks into manageable steps, and use clear routines to reduce anxiety. You’ll run short interventions targeting communication, social skills and core learning, record simple progress notes, and share next steps with staff and parents.
You’re a graduate with a patient, empathetic manner and strong communication skills. You can follow support plans, maintain consistent boundaries, and adapt activities so each pupil can participate fully. You’re organised, reflective, and motivated to help children overcome barriers to learning.
This ‘Good’ primary school in Wolverhampton has a strong inclusion ethos and well-established SEN provision. You’ll join a supportive team with access to resources, practical guidance, and regular feedback to help you develop quickly in the role.
Due to the high number of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
