• Identifying and repairing defective or worn components
• Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Completing all relevant job cards and maintenance documentation

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for either position, you should have:

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience working as an HGV Technician, Truck Technician or HGV Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop
• A good understanding of modern HGV systems and maintenance standards
• A full UK driving licence

Main dealer experience would be advantageous and may attract the higher rate of pay, although experienced HGV Technicians from independent or fleet workshop backgrounds will also be considered.
