The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

• Deliver planned learning activities and interventions to individuals, small groups, and whole classes
• Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teaching staff to promote pupil progress and achievement
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement

What We're Looking For

• HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading learning activities and covering whole-class lessons
• A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
• A commitment to supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing

Desirable:

• Experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and EAL needs
• Additional intervention or specialist support experience
