MONDAY TO FRIDAY – DAY SHIFT | FIELD BASED | FOUR SITES | EXCELLENT PACKAGE

Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a Monday to Friday, days-only role with no rotating shifts, no nights and an excellent overall package?

RecruitME is recruiting for an established and growing organisation looking to appoint a Field-Based Maintenance Technician to support four operational sites across Norfolk and South Lincolnshire .

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to move away from shift work and into a Monday to Friday day-shift position , while still enjoying plenty of variety, autonomy and responsibility.

The role is approximately 70% electrical and 30% mechanical , so we are particularly interested in candidates who have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have strong practical electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.

You will typically manage the maintenance requirements across three to four sites , planning your own workload, responding to engineering issues and ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.

Excellent Salary & Benefits Package

This role comes with a particularly strong package including:

  • Salary up to £47,500
  • 15% bonus scheme
  • Company van
  • All tools and equipment provided
  • Private healthcare
  • Up to 7.5% employer pension contribution
  • Regular salary reviews
  • Monday to Friday working
  • Day shift only
  • No night shifts
  • Training and development
  • Long-term career progression

With the bonus, the package provides the potential for over £54,000 per annum before taking into account the value of the van, pension and private healthcare.

Monday to Friday – Days Only

One of the major attractions of this opportunity is the working pattern.

Monday to Friday

Day Shift

Typical hours are approximately:

8:00am – 4:00pm

There is also some flexibility around start and finish times.

This means:

  • No rotating shifts
  • No night shifts
  • No 4-on / 4-off pattern
  • A consistent Monday to Friday working week
  • An excellent opportunity for engineers looking for a better work-life balance

The Role

As a Field-Based Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting equipment and assets across a small portfolio of four sites throughout Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.

Working largely autonomously, you will organise and prioritise your own workload while maintaining close communication with operational teams and management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across four sites
  • Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and engineering issues
  • Completing mechanical maintenance and minor repairs where required
  • Identifying potential equipment failures before they impact operations
  • Supporting reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Inspecting electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Coordinating maintenance activity across multiple locations
  • Managing your workload and priorities independently
  • Working with site teams, contractors and specialist engineering providers
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance and engineering records
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a practical, self-motivated engineer who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the maintenance of several sites.

You will ideally have:

  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Experience within an industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, utilities, processing or engineering environment
  • Practical mechanical maintenance capability
  • Experience with motors, control systems, electrical equipment and associated plant
  • The confidence to diagnose faults and make decisions independently
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a multi-site workload
  • A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
  • A full UK driving licence

17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualifications are not essential.

We are particularly keen to speak with engineers who are self-starters , enjoy working autonomously and want to join a business where they can build a secure, long-term career.

Why Apply?

This is much more than a standard maintenance position.

You will have responsibility for your own group of sites and the freedom to organise your working day, while still having the backing and security of an established organisation.

Most importantly, this is a rare opportunity to secure:

A Monday to Friday day-shift engineering role paying up to £47,500, with a 15% bonus, company van, private healthcare, up to 7.5% pension and regular salary reviews.

If you are an Electrical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician or Field Service Engineer looking for a stable, autonomous and well-rewarded days-based position, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
