The Learning Support Department engages with a range of students with additional needs, including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, SEMH, sensory and physical difficulties. Duties will include supporting in mainstream lessons, working with pupils in small groups or 1 to 1 sessions, to progress pupil learning both educationally and personally, encouraging their engagement in lessons whilst promoting inclusion and the holistic development of the pupil.

There is much more about our school below; in 'The Story' written by our Head (Sam Gorse); and on the school website. We thought you might like to hear what it's like here straight from the horse's mouth before you meet us. Here are a few of our staff on a one-take interview. This will take you straight to Vimeo:
Turton is an oversubscribed and high-achieving 11-18 school of 1600 students, with 300 in the Sixth Form.
We are an innovative Leadership Team, looking at creative and exciting approaches to teaching and learning, in order to engage and challenge both staff and students.
The distinctive Turton ethos is values-led. Compassion and good relationships underpin all of our practices. The successful candidate will join a team of hard-working and dedicated colleagues, supportive parents, a fully involved governing body and inspiring students.
