Transport Clerk - Nights

Temporary initially - 3 months (could become permanent for the right candidate) 4 on 4 off - 7pm to 7am NIGHT SHIFT £30k pa/ £15 per hour. Rugby DIRFT based

Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator who will work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.

The key responsibilities for a Transport Clerk:

• Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
• Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
• Use customer systems to update delivery information
• Monitor the return of equipment
• Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
• Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures

The key skills and experience needed for a Transport Clerk:

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
• Able to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office - Excel and spreadsheet knowledge a must
• Methodical and can follow instruction and procedure
• Reliable
• High levels of commitment and motivation, and can use own initiative
