Pay: M1–M6, paid to scale

Teaching Personnel are working with a busy and welcoming primary school who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join their KS2 team from October 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping every pupil excel in their learning. The successful candidate will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation and marking , and will play an important role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Hold QTS and be eligible to teach in the UK
• Have previous teaching experience, ideally within KS2, although this is not essential for the right candidate
• Be confident working in a busy and fast-paced school environment
• Have a positive and proactive approach to behaviour management , both inside and outside the classroom
• Be committed to maintaining high expectations and supporting pupils to make excellent progress
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Be passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to excel in their learning
• Work effectively as part of a wider school team

The Role:

You will be responsible for a Year 4 class and will undertake full teaching responsibilities, including:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons
• Marking and assessing pupils’ work
• Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations
• Supporting the academic, social and emotional development of all pupils
• Creating a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Working closely with colleagues, parents and the wider school community

This position is paid to scale from M1–M6 , depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
