Take charge of night operations in a leading logistics team at one of the UK's busiest hubs. If you're an experienced transport operator who thrives under pressure, this is a hands-on role with strong earning potential, modern systems, and real progression.
What you'll be doing
Book VBS slots and keep container movements on track.
Optimise schedules, swap jobs, and coordinate agency/night drivers.
Handle overnight call outs, monitor the fleet, and manage day-shift handovers.
Join the on-call rota (1 in 4 weekends): 2 hours Saturday + weekend on-call (paid extra).
What we're looking for
Transport operations experience (logistics/container environment preferred).
Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
Confident communication with drivers, agencies, and internal teams.
Solid IT skills (TMS, email, Excel).
Calm, proactive, and able to work independently on nights.
Flexibility to support the weekend on-call rota.
