We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Head Pastry Chef to join a busy, food-led garden centre restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled pastry professional looking for a hands‑on role with an excellent work‑life balance, offering daytime shifts only and no evening work.

The successful Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for leading the pastry operation, maintaining exceptional standards and ensuring the team consistently delivers outstanding cakes, desserts and patisseries made from scratch.

The Person

The successful Head Pastry Chef will have:

• Previous experience as a Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef or senior pastry position.
• Strong pastry and patisserie skills with experience creating cakes, desserts and sweet treats from scratch.
• A genuine passion for high-quality pastry and attention to detail.
• Experience leading and developing a pastry team.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage stock control, ordering and minimise waste.
• Experience working in a busy, high-volume kitchen environment.
• A fully qualified pastry background with a high level of technical skill.
• A positive and hardworking approach with the ability to maintain excellent standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
