Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in our home.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and professionals involved in their life
Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
Support children with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
Assist children in accessing education, health services, community activities, and positive experiences.
Celebrate diversity and achievements
Promote emotional wellbeing and life skills development
Implement care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports.
Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, schools, and other agencies.
Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.

Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.

Requirements

A genuine passion and motivation for supporting children and young people.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work within safeguarding policies and procedures.
Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK.
Commitment to on-going training and professional development
Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
Experience working within children’s residential care (desirable)
