Night Care Assistant

Overview

Shifts: 10pm - 8am Nights

1 vacancy, 19 hours per week, Friday and Saturday each week.

We deliver care in our Village community styled home with households of about twelve residents per household. We are a committed team providing exceptional person-centred care to enrich residents’ lives and put them at the heart of everything we do.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team in Belong Morris Feinmann (Didsbury).

About the Role

As a care assistant, you will work with other staff in the running of the household. You will maintain high standards of care and service towards residents, relatives, visitors and other staff. You will provide a range of personal and practical care to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people
• Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
• Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the household
• Provide assistance, personal care
• Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing
• Respect the residents’ dignity and privacy
• Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual
• Assist with mealtimes and safe moving
• Maintain accurate records for each resident

Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect
• Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
• Team player but able to work on your own initiative
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
• A minimum of a NVQ level 2 in health & social care or the Care Certificate along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care for our night team roles
