As a Care Assistant with Home Instead, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live fulfilling lives, offering companionship, practical support, and personal care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide dignified personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and grooming, respecting individual preferences and routines.
• Offer medication reminders and support, ensuring timely and correct administration as prescribed.
• Engage in meaningful companionship, fostering social interaction through conversations, activities, and outings.
• Assist with light household duties, meal preparation, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Support client mobility, including safe transfers and assistance with walking, using appropriate aids.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, communicating any changes or concerns effectively with the care team.
• Escort clients to appointments, social engagements, or other outings, promoting active community involvement.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for caring and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is essential for travelling between client homes in the SO14, SO15, and SO16 areas.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive paid training will be provided.
• Ability to adapt to various situations and respond calmly to unexpected events.
