We are recruiting a new retail assistant for our shop in Barnstaple, Devon, offering a permanent part‑time position with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days including weekends.

Responsibilities
Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
Help customers find the items they are looking for
Give fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and on shelves ready for customers to buy
Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy
Qualifications & Skills
Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
Enjoy being busy with varied tasks, from deliveries to till work to stock rotation
Reliable – an important part of a small team, dependable on each shift
Flexibility with shifts; may need to cover different hours when teammates are on holiday; rota planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments considered
Successful completion of an Employment Verification check if offered the position
