Location: Supporting in the local community

Hours: 4 hours per week

Preferred Day: Tuesday (approximately 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, although flexibility is available to accommodate activities, events, and mutual availability)

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Care Assistant to support a quiet and friendly individual with a range of medical conditions. The role focuses on helping increase independence, confidence, and social inclusion by supporting to access community activities and pursue interests.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Duties May Include

• Providing companionship and encouragement.
• Supporting access to the local community.
• Assistance in attending public attractions, events, and social activities.
• Supporting participation in hobbies and interests, including gaming, art or cookery classes.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction.
• Providing support in a way that promotes choice, dignity, and wellbeing.

Person Specificatio'n

The successful applicant will:

• Be friendly, patient, and approachable.
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Have experience of supporting individuals with complex medical conditions and be willing to learn about our client's specific needs.
• Have an interest in gaming and community-based activities.
• Be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt plans when required.
• Be committed to promoting independence and person-centred support.

Additional Information

The role is initially offered at 4 hours per week , with flexibility around support times depending on activities and events. There may be an opportunity to increase the number of hours following a successful trial period.
