Tutor

We are currently recruiting for a Functional Skills Tutor to join a programme based in Wakefield. The role requires travel across Yorkshire (York and Selby) and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs into education, employment, and independence.

Salary scale: £26,228 – £32,083 per annum (depending on experience). Working hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with time for delivery, learner support, planning, and administration.

The role combines Functional Skills delivery with job coaching, making it a great fit for someone with strengths in either (or both).

Learners attend local work placements (e.g., retail and hospitality) and return later in the day to reflect on their experiences. You will support them in developing workplace skills, confidence, and independence, and provide further opportunities for coaching and support.
